Itinerary in Brief

DAY 01: PHUENTSHOLING FROM BAGDOGRA

Arrive at Phuentsholing, the border gate between Bhutan and Jaigaon, West Bengal.
Meet and greet, complete immigration formalities.
Spend the rest of the day at leisure and stay overnight in Phuentsholing.

DAY 02: PHUENTSHOLING – THIMPHU CAPITAL CITY 150 KM 5 HRS

In the morning meet guide will meet you at the hotel transfer to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan, enjoying a scenic drive through the mountains.
Check into the hotel upon arrival in Thimphu.
Relax at the hotel or take a leisurely walk to the main town, Norzin Lam.
Stay overnight in Thimphu.

DAY 03: THIMPHU – CAPITAL CITY

Experience the unique traffic system of Thimphu, where there are no traffic lights, and traffic is managed by policemen using elaborate hand gestures.
Visit the National Memorial Chorten, a stupa dedicated to the third king of Bhutan, and see the giant Buddha statue.
Explore Takin Zoo, home to Bhutan’s national animal, and stop at the junction to view Trashichho Dzong.
Visit the National Library and the Folk Heritage Museum to learn about Bhutanese culture and history.
Take a short walk to the Handicraft Bazaar to admire traditional arts and crafts.
Spend the afternoon at leisure or explore the main city, including Clock Tower Square, for shopping. Stay overnight in Thimphu.

DAY 04: THIMPHU – ENROUTE EXCURSION TO DOCHULA PASS 10,000FT - 25 KM 45 MIN DRIVE & TRANSFER TO PARO 55 KM 1.5 HRS DRIVE

After breakfast, transfer to Dochula Pass, located at 10,000 ft, stopping at Hongtsho village and the immigration checkpoint to get your permit stamped.
Explore local stalls near the checkpoint, where you can buy fresh, juicy local apples.
Drive through the scenic first mountain pass in western Bhutan, stopping at the 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens adorned with colorful prayer flags.
Walk around the chortens, offer prayers, and capture stunning photos of the picturesque surroundings.
On a clear day, enjoy breathtaking views of Bhutan’s highest peaks, including Gangkar Puensum, the world’s highest unclimbed peak at 24,000 ft.
In the afternoon, transfer to Paro, enjoy leisure time, and stay overnight in Paro.

DAY 05: PARO SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast, transfer to Phuentsholing and check in to the hotel.
Spend the day at leisure and stay overnight in Phuentsholing.

DAY 6: DEPARTURE

In the morning, transfer to Bagdogra with cherished memories of Bhutan.
Board your flight to Delhi for your onward journey.
